Are you choose happiness?

When you think of being happy with your life, you probably imagine circumstances that can help you feel satisfied and content. You could see you with a better job, more money, a committed relationship, and all other possibilities. But what do these things guarantee happiness?

You can probably think of others who have the same things you want, but they do not seem happy at all. They may have a lot of money, but experience severe relationship problems. They may have a successful career, but struggle with health issues.

Logically, you know that the money, prestige and outside "tricks" can not make you happy, but we can still hold a mental image of what looks like happiness - which probably is not the way your life is today.

You may be surprised to learn that being happy is not a reason for everything that happens around you or yourself, but to make a simple choice to be happy. This may seem like a catch-22, because it seems impossible to feel happy when you are unhappy with your life as it is now. However, you do not need to be completely satisfied with all aspects of your life so that you feel happy.

Happiness is a state of mind. It is a desire to focus more on the positive aspects of your life and to minimize the negative effects.

When you feel unhappy, you are the biggest share of your attention to the absence. Thinking of that part of your life that do not work as you prefer as the stress of your job, financial difficulties, the car breaks down, relationship conflicts, and so forth.

If you choose to be happy for the moment - in spite of what you want to change in your life - you immediately switch to a mentality of abundance and joy. You are in a better position to make the most of your work, juggle financial commitments, to better communicate with others and, in general, see the bright side of most situations. You begin by choosing to feel good rather than obsessing over things that have the potential to make you feel bad.

Maybe you tried to feel happy despite difficult circumstances, but were unable to maintain the positive feelings? Understand that happiness is a choice that you have to do at every moment. Choose once, it will last only as long as the external circumstances do not contradict you. When something negative or contest the case, you will find yourself again at a crossroads! Did you move your emphasis on the negative and positive aspects of both, or you would be removed by means of dissatisfaction?

Remember that there will always be negative things you can focus on - no matter how your life is wonderful. There will always be challenges and obstacles that may potentially threaten the prospects in your life. But there will also always great things you can focus on.

When you finally realize that you have the power to choose what gives you the most for your attention, the positive aspects outweigh the negatives quickly and you will be experiencing a greater sense of happiness most of the time.
